Feelin It

Standard

You know those days when you just need to step out of your comfort zone a tad? I’ve been having a few too many of those lately. I am working on losing weight after health issues and medications have added a few more pounds to my body than I would like. I’ve adjusted my eating habits and am working on adding in exercise when I can, trying to walk more during the work day, etc.

That is all well and good, but if I don’t FEEL good, then I won’t look good. I needed to get out of my funk, go out on a limb, get out of my comfort zone. Enter the Mama Cassie from Made for Mermaids. When I saw the pattern, I jumped at it, went for the most daring option, and began brainstorming how I was going to keep my boobs up long enough for pictures. I looked in to boob taping. I still haven’t tried it. I’m scared for my nipples. Sooooo…post on that to come…maybe.

So, let me show you this glorious pattern so you can quit thinking about nipple taping and start thinking about this glorious floral fabric from Knitpop 😛

I ended up using a far-too-small strapless bra and a very sturdy ace bandage applied by my husband 😛 Yes…he was laughing. This is what happens when you have boobs as big as your head.

Now, I absolutely fell in love with this dress….so I needed more. I needed a mommy-and-me set! Of Course!

And Then I had to make a more casual and fun version, so I lengthened the flounce from the flounce-hack. I added length…because….boobs.  Most things I make or wear are determined around if they will fit and if I can find/create an undergarment to make the clothes wearable outside of my home.

So…get out of your comfort zone, go after what you love, and try something new!!!

    • Oh please do!!! I was so nervous but seriously, this pattern is so universally flattering! If it looks good with an ace bandage under it holding my boobs in, it will look good on anybody!! <3
